interFaces – the interface between the real and virtual worlds

The borders between reality and virtuality are becoming ever more permeable, and because of new connection elements, in many aspects these worlds are beginning to merge. These interfaces and the interaction between people and machines, continues to gain in relevance. As cyberspace continues to develop in the form of improved 3D worlds and with both new digital tools and ways of interacting and controlling physical objects, a new era in the digital age has begun. Products providing these new interfaces are successful, as demonstrated by the iPhone. Products are available which transport virtual content to real worlds as are products which register information about physical activities, make an assessment and connect to virtual communities.

SHARE is an organization dedicated to supporting collaboration and knowledge exchange
in new media communities. Local SHARE groups hold free, open jams and workshops
in their communities. Participants bring their portable equipment, plug into our system,
improvise on each others’ signal and perform live audio and video. SHARE GLOBAL happens
between weekly to monthly in now +-30 cities around the world.

SHARE WIESBADEN was the 2nd – 3rd Node on
worlmap ( since 2005.. ) now it´s re-organized
for having the 2days micro-festival once a year..

their amazing Workout, New Technology Devices as an early Inspiration since 2004,
before later starting „to share“ our local but physical ( Community 2.1 ) Network ..“

( what Fluxus has already been over 40 Years ago,
in Wiesbaden since September 1962, my Hommage bringing home to „FluXustown“
was made for Nam June Paik, his „GlobalGroove“ in 1971-1974 and the Roots of Media Art ..
/ today, we call it “ Web2.0 „.. ; )
