Mike Kuniavski, the curator of ISEA’s interactive C4f3, picked up his five favourite projects of the festival.

In Mike’s words: The basic notion is to use the power of networked digital technology and inexpensive storage to keep aspects of us alive after we’re dead. On one conceptual level, it externalizes the network of memories and documents we leave behind, and places them into a digital world, which is projected into the physical one as a shipping container sarcophagus filled. The sarcophagus is simultaneously a display, an environment and metaphor, and as it ages, etoy will replace the LEDs with the ashes of the people whose digital selves they manage.

SHARE is an organization dedicated to supporting collaboration and knowledge exchange
in new media communities. Local SHARE groups hold free, open jams and workshops
in their communities. Participants bring their portable equipment, plug into our system,
improvise on each others’ signal and perform live audio and video. SHARE GLOBAL happens
between weekly to monthly in now +-30 cities around the world.

SHARE WIESBADEN was the 2nd – 3rd Node on
worlmap ( since 2005.. ) now it´s re-organized
for having the 2days micro-festival once a year..

in Wiesbaden since September 1962, my Hommage bringing home to „FluXustown“
was made for Nam June Paik, his „GlobalGroove“ in 1971-1974 and the Roots of Media Art ..
/ today, we call it “ Web2.0 „.. ; )
