Mobile Video Workshop: dates change !

Caution: the dates of the mobile video workshop annouced in the preceding newsletter
have changed: it will take place from May 11th to 13th (instead of 8th to 11th)!

The Mapping festival is an international visual and audio festival based in Geneva, Switzerland.
The festival was formed in 2005 around the goal to promote the VJ medium, its culture and its connection to electronic music. Since then it has evolved into presenting related projects in contemporary art such as audiovisual performances, and interactive installations as well as including workshops and lectures that further emphasize the aspect of community that is a strong component of VJ movement.
Now in our 5th year the physical spaces that the festival will occupy will reflect this diversity in that they will include club, gallery, cinema and outdoor venues. Enjoy the festival ! -

SHARE is an organization dedicated to supporting collaboration and knowledge exchange
in new media communities. Local SHARE groups hold free, open jams and workshops
in their communities. Participants bring their portable equipment, plug into our system,
improvise on each others’ signal and perform live audio and video. SHARE GLOBAL happens
between weekly to monthly in now +-30 cities around the world.

SHARE WIESBADEN was the 2nd – 3rd Node on
worlmap ( since 2005.. ) now it´s re-organized
for having the 2days micro-festival once a year..

their amazing Workout, New Technology Devices as an early Inspiration since 2004,
before later starting “to share” our local but physical ( Community 2.1 ) Network ..”

in Wiesbaden since September 1962, my Tribute “bringing home to FluXustown”
was made for Nam June Paik, his “GlobalGroove” in 1971-1974 and the Roots of Media Art ..
